Company Overview
At PCS we are 100% focused on student nutrition solutions, and we service no other markets, so our students, parents, and district staff, get our full attention. Our products are web based and include meal preordering, point of sale, prepayments, collections, free and reduced application processing, meal accountability, claims reporting, menu nutrition analysis, special diets, food purchases and inventory control, site inspections, custom forms and workflows, plus services including project management, training, webinars, continuing maintenance, upgrades, and support.
Company History
PCS has been providing technology solutions to the school food and nutrition community since 1988, when PCS developed point of sale systems integrated with district mainframe computers for Miami-Dade County Public schools, followed by several other major cities. Integrated inventory, procurement, central kitchen and warehouse systems were soon added, along with Free and Reduced price meal processing and so forth. With the advent of web based systems, meal prepayments through PayPAMS, a PCS sister company, were added along with migration to web based systems for all product lines. The final addition has been the PcsFORMS product line for custom workflows, many of which have become products in their own right, such as Special Diets, Collections Assistant, Household Income Surveys, and Site Inspections.
