ABOUT THE DISTRICT: MMSD is the second largest school system in Wisconsin and has a student population of approximately 27,000 students in 32 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, 5 high schools, and several alternative programs. The district has a total staff of over 5,900 and an operating budget of $435 million. The District has a 52% minority student population.
